Founded in 2023 by Doug Warriner, Ben Broughton, Phil Perry, and Joe Surita, Lavaca Building Company was born from a shared belief that Austin homeowners deserve access to exceptional construction, craftsmanship, and service—without having to build a luxury home to get it.
With decades of combined experience in Austin’s residential construction industry, the four partners have spent their careers building some of the city’s finest homes and working alongside some of its most respected builders and tradespeople. Through that experience, they saw an opportunity to create something different: a construction company that brings the expertise, quality, and professionalism of a high-end custom builder to a broader range of projects.

Lavaca was created to serve homeowners who value quality and craftsmanship but are looking for a more personal, straightforward building experience. From renovations and additions to thoughtfully designed new homes, our approach is built around clear communication, careful attention to detail, accountability, and doing things the right way.
