PRECISION & PROFESSIONALISM
Founded in 2023, Lavaca Building Company was born from a collaboration between Doug Warriner, Phil Perry, and Joe Surita—seasoned professionals with decades of experience in Austin’s luxury residential market.
After years of constructing high-end custom homes, the trio saw a need for a contractor capable of delivering the same level of quality and service for smaller-scale projects. Lavaca was created to meet that need—combining the personal care of a small firm with the precision and professionalism of a large builder.
In the fall of 2025, Lavaca added Ben Broughton to the partnership team. In addition to his expertise and experience from the luxury residential construction market, Ben brings with him a wealth of industry and process related knowledge that will allow Lavaca Building Company to continue to grow while still maintaining true to its core values.
